School, and my life in general, has been very busy lately, but I wanted to post an amusing incident from yesterday. We were doing m&m graphing and I told the kids to write questions about their graphs on the back when they finished. One of my students brought me his paper when he was done and I asked if he remembered to write the questions on the back. “Yes ma’am,” he said, turning it over for me to see. His question: “What did I do wrong?”
I tried to keep from laughing and asked what he meant. Apparently he was just asking for feedback and wanted to know if he needed to fix anything on his graph. I guess it’s like applying the revising/editing portion of the writing process to math. Love it.
